Overall Concept, Masterplan & 30-Storeyed Tower Block

Reichardt - Maas – Assoziierte Architekten GmbH & Co. KG, Essen, Germany & BR Architects & Engineers, Bangalore, India were requested to conceptualize the Masterplan of a 'Sustainable' Development including Residential, Mercantile, Assembly and other spaces spread of 40 acres in the heart of Bangalore.
Prof. Reichardt conceptualized this one of kind development in line with his Award Winning "ECO Park", Nuremberg, Germany - a 250 Hectare development for Industrial - Science - Residential Park.
The Central Spine, was planned as a ‘sustainable’ lung space with waterbody - greenery for pedestrians and bicycles; solar driven vehicles were to connect the internal public transport system of the development to the existing peripheral facilities / localities.
Other sustainable features include – a parking system for 1000+ vehicles tucked below the landscaped areas, modular zoning systems for the proposed blocks, green roofs, solar PV technologies, use of appropriate building materials, efficient management of water, reduction of waste for the entire development, and others.
